Mr. Walter Carroll Carneal, 73, of Hanson, KY, died at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, October 14, 2006, at his home.
Born August 16, 1933, in Nebo, KY, he was the son of the late Walter and Auvergene Crowe Carneal.
Mr. Carneal had a Masters degree in Business, was of the Baptist faith, and a U. S. Army veteran. He retired after 35 years from the Western Kentucky Vocational system where he was a business manager.
Mr. Carneal is survived by his wife of over 30 years, Vivian Carneal of Hanson; a daughter, Carol Louise Turse of Pasco, WA; a son, Eugene Earl Carneal of Louisville, KY, and two brothers, Sam Carneal of Madisonville and Lysander Carneal of South Carolina.
Funeral services will be Thursday, October 19, 2006, at 2:00 P.M., at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Desmond Hargis officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 18, 2006, from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and from 1:00 P.M. until the service time on Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Eugene Earl Carneal, Joshua Turse, Gerald Chaney, Stephen Crowe, Sam Carneal, Don Howerton, Bobby Love and Chip Riddle.
Memorials may take the form of donations to the church or charity of your choice.
