  • Notes
    • James E. Tuers, was born in the Demarest house at New Bridge Landing. His mother was Priscilla Demarest. The area behind the home is the family burial ground. It is now fenced and a number of headstones lie stacked on the ground but a significant number of the older stones still stand and are legible.

The home was originally located near the Steuben House, River Edge, and the Westervelt barn.

James E. Tuers and his wife Erma Vanderbeck named their second son Cornelius Westervelt Ackerman Tuers.
